Zakynthos tours: island trips and Navagio access
Most Zakynthos island tours combine a few land stops with time on a boat. The usual stops are Bochali above Zakynthos Town, the coves at Xigia, the Blue Caves on the north coast and a view of Navagio. The view is the part to read carefully. The beach cannot be entered, boats may only pass through a marked sea zone, and the viewpoint platform may be used only after protective works are finished.
A tour program that lists the Navagio viewpoint does not prove that the platform is open on your day. Check the current status when you book, and treat the stop as a bonus. The prices below are those listed in 2026 and they change by date.

|---|---|---|---|
| Land and Sea island tour | 7 to 9 hours | Bochali, Xigia, the Navagio viewpoint and the Blue Caves | From €45 per person |
| Turtle area and Keri caves | 3 hours | South coast by boat | From €35 per person |

| Round-island cruise | 8 hours | From Zakynthos Town | – |
For most visitors, the Land and Sea tour is a good single day because it covers both the coast and a few places on land. If you only care about the water, a short cave cruise from the north costs less and takes about 2.5 hours. The turtle and Keri trip is a different part of the island and does not include Navagio.
Zakynthos island tour: the stops
What the common stops are, and what to keep apart.
Bochali and Zakynthos Town
Bochali is the hill above the town, with a Venetian castle. Solomos Square is the central square below. Check opening hours and ticket prices for the castle locally.
Things to do →Xigia
Small coves with pebble and rock on the north-east coast, reached by road and steps. Some programs make a short stop here.
The Blue Caves
Sea caves on the north coast, reached by boat from Agios Nikolaos or Skinari. Swim stops here depend on the route and the conditions.
Blue Caves →Keri caves
Sea caves on the south-west coast. They are a different place from the Blue Caves, and one trip rarely covers both.
The Navagio view
From the sea zone for up to 20 minutes per boat in season, or from the platform only after protective works. No tour lands you on the beach.
Viewpoint →Turtles on Zakynthos tours
Wild animals, with rules.
South coast trips go into the area of Laganas Bay and Marathonisi. The turtles are wild, so no tour can promise a sighting. The conservation code asks boats to keep 15 m away, approach from the side, keep to 2 knots near an animal and watch for no more than 10 minutes. At most 2 boats stay with a turtle, and others keep at least 45 m away. Do not touch or feed turtles, and do not swim with them. The speed limit in Laganas Bay is 6 knots. Pick a boat that follows these rules. More on turtles and Marathonisi.

Which stops really happen
A listed stop can depend on wind, sea state, access rules and the day. Ask what happens if a stop drops out.
Pickup, meals and extras
Pickup, a boat surcharge, food and child prices differ by tour. Read the offer for your date rather than assuming the list price covers everything.
Season
Navagio boat visits run in season only and close from 1 November 2026 until a new decision. See the access page and boat tours for the rules.

Zakynthos tours: frequently asked questions
Which Zakynthos island tour should I choose?
It depends on what you want. A Land and Sea tour of 7 to 9 hours covers the most. A cave cruise from the north is shorter. The south coast trip is for turtles and the Keri caves.
How much do Zakynthos tours cost?
Examples listed in 2026 run from €25 per person for a 2.5-hour Shipwreck and Blue Caves cruise to €45 per person for a Land and Sea tour. Extras can change the final price.
Do island tours include the Navagio viewpoint?
Some programs list it. The platform may be used only after protective works are finished, so check the status before you rely on it.
Will I see turtles on a tour?
Maybe, but nobody can promise it. The animals are wild. Choose a boat that keeps its distance and does not chase them.
Are the Blue Caves and the Keri caves the same?
No. The Blue Caves are on the north coast and the Keri caves are on the south-west coast. They need different trips.
Is navagio.org a tour operator?
No. This is a travel guide with no connection to the Municipality of Zakynthos, the Greek Ministry of Culture, Visit Greece or any tour operator, boat company or hotel.
